The client wanted to retain their established color scheme, icon style, and creative approach to buttons. Instead of replacing everything with a completely new design, I used these existing elements as a foundation for the redesign.
One detail that stood out in the original website was the use of creative button designs.
Their original implementation used static graphic images with links. While the visual style was distinctive, this approach was less flexible and harder to reuse across the website.
I recreated the same general creative direction using custom CSS.
This allowed the buttons to remain visually distinct while functioning more like standard website components. The result was a more flexible and reusable solution that could be applied consistently throughout the website.
I also used AI-assisted workflows during the project, including generative AI tools for producing and enhancing selected visual assets.
The goal was not to replace the design process, but to use these tools where they could help improve the available assets and support the visual direction of the website.
This was combined with my usual design and implementation process to ensure the final work remained aligned with the client’s brand.
Another part of the update involved the use of animated SVG icons.
The client already had a recognizable icon style, so I looked for ways to make those elements more engaging without changing their visual identity.
By adding animation, the icons became more dynamic and helped give the website a more modern feel.
The intention was to create small moments of movement that could help the website stand apart from similar HVAC and home service websites without becoming distracting.
